I did it! I sort of ignored the kids and scrapped today. YA!!

So here it is :

I would like with this post to thank Sharmaine Kruijver for the wonderful inspiration she has been posting on her blog (http://skruijver.blogspot.com/) and Facebook of late.
I think that its the little bits and pieces that make Sharmaine's layout pop, and I love the simplicity that really brings out the elements to the photo she uses.

They really inspired me to create this layout I am sharing with you all today.

Blow -  American Craft, Pebbles & Simple Stories pattern paper
Twine, Brads, Kaisercraft Paint, Stamps & chipboard Alphabets, EK large circle punch,  metal rim tag,  and journaling pen.

Doing it 1920's Style

On the weekend I attended a girlfriends 40th Birthday party at Irish Murphy's and of course it was a fancy dress event.

I decided that I was going to go as a Flapper from the 1920's, and thank to my wardrobe my outfit only cost me $30.  I already had the dress and the shoes, all I had to purchase was a pair of fishnet stockings, some cheap strings of pearls, a feathered boa, and a fancy head band.

And I was set for an amazing evening with great food, great music and fantastic company.
A night to remember!
